The Joe Wheeler State Park, host of the 2001 Bass Master
Top 150 Tournament, is located in northwest Alabama on the Tennessee River's
Wheeler/Wilson Reservoir. These two lakes, connected by a locked in Dam,
combine to provide 82,600 acres of ideal tournament fishing habitat teeming
with both largemouth and small mouth bass.
In this fishing paradise, the Joe Wheeler State Park staff and facilities
are well-suited to serve your tournament needs.
Joe Wheeler State Park facilities and services include:
- A Lakeside 75 unit resort lodge with special group rates
- A full-service restaurant with early bird breakfast delicious evening meals in the restaurant or in a separate group function banquet room.
- Convention meeting rooms for social gatherings, sponsor exhibits, activities and seminars or just a place to tell “fish stories”.
- A full-service marina complete with fuel dock
- Just added in 2001additional parking, launch ramps, weigh in site and 80 new boat slips to better serve tournament fish in activities
- Multiple boat launch ramps with adequate parking
- Adequate parking for vehicles and boat trailers
- Provisions for recharging batteries overnight
